Ternstroemia gymnanthera

This tall, upright-growing shrub that has glossy green, leathery leaves with a flush of bronze-red on the new growth. A good substitute for Photinia fraseri (Red Tips) because of its disease and insect resistance. It may be used as a hedge, screen, or specimen.
